Fashion Designer Sandra Backlund

At the last International Festival of Fashion and Photos in Yere was the winner of the Swedish designer Sandra Backlund, presented her new collection – «The Ink Blot Test».

Graduate of Stockholm “Beckman’s College of Design”, Sandra finds a creative way to perfect expression, fashion classes for her first opportunity to experience the world and express their ideas, experimenting with new forms and volumes.

Sandra Interests: the dual nature of diamonds, white color, hair texture, but according to her a constant source of inspiration for it is the human body. So how can distort, transform, transform the human figure with the help of clothes and accessories.

That is why her work differs primarily expressive scope and fanciful silhouettes. To realize its vision designer uses various techniques of hand-made with the material (mostly a different way of knitting and weaving), including long-forgotten, constantly learning new and improving already studied.

«The Ink Blot Test» – sixth on account of its collection, the starting point for the creation of which was the famous psychological test Rorschach (known ink stains). Starting with the image divided blob («as symmetrical accident»), it consistently transforming it, and experimenting with materials, to translate intricate lines and divorces in the garments.
